Scott and mum 043

Scott Clemmett, was born on the 20/06/08 4 weeks premature. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and he had to come out premature due to health issues and possible complications.

He was a very small baby (48 cm at birth), and although everyone commented on how small he was, he was not that difficult for me to handle (ignorance.... I assume, as this is my first child).
At 12 days old, we starting attending baby massage classes at Lasting Impressions with Alison, It was quite difficult to try and get the massage strokes correct, as he had this very minute little body to try and get the strokes correct on, and his feet were only as long as my thumb and trying to roll his little toes, was a mission and a half, but there is always a way around it. The reason for me starting to go to the massage classes this early in his life, was that it would calm him down and help him to sleep well. I was very interested in the colic routine, as we are aware, colic (or gestational discomfort) is quite prevalent in premature babies and the routine seems to help with easing the discomfort.

Alison is amazing with babies and I will recommend her classes to anyone that is into alternative healing as alternative is better in the long run for us all, as you target the cause and not the symptoms..Kind Regards Thea & Scott.

I attended pregnancy Body stretch classes with Alison from when I was six months pregnant until close to my due date. The Body Stretch helped me relax and stretch all those aching muscles. Alison is very well informed about pregnancy, labour and baby care. I learnt things I had not known about, despite being a mother of two. Alison also massaged me during pregnancy and this was fantastic. On her specially designed pregnancy massage bed I was both comfortable and confident that I was properly supported while lying on my tummy. The back and full body massage is wonderful when every part of you is heavy and tired. Alison is also a beautician and I was treated to a number of foot massages and a pedicure. After Mia was born I attended baby massage classes with Alison.

Alison taught me the correct methods and appropriate ways of massaging Mia. I had massaged my other two children as infants but I wish that I had had the benefit of the course with them. The relaxed and professional manner in which the course was conducted gave me the know-how to be more confident with Mia. Mia enjoys her massages, and her movements and facial expressions even at a very young age show her pleasure.
I recommend learning baby massage and using it to enhance your relationship with your baby The power of touch cannot be under estimated. Regards Toni & Mia

I attended the course in baby massage with Alison when my son was three weeks old. It was a great experience for Kaeyan and myself. He was asleep for most of the time during the classes, but I managed to massage him daily before his bath time and he simply loved it.It was great for me too as I have always believed in the power of touch. Apart from breast-feeding the massage gave us a better opportunity to bondAlison was great and her knowledge of pregnancy, post pregnancy a

nd babies really helped with some of the problems that I and the other mothers experienced. The sessions gave the mothers a chance to socialise and to share their experiences. Thanks to Alison for sharing this wonderful massage therapy with me, and I am defiantly going to use it for a long time to come.
Regards Wendy & Kaeyan
